Does your bespoke invoicing software comply with Verifactu?
If your invoicing system was built specifically for your company, no vendor is going to ship an update that makes it compliant. The deadline applies all the same. We adapt the system you already have, rather than replacing it.
The deadlines
- ·Companies: 1 January 2027.
- ·Self-employed and other income-tax payers: 1 July 2027.
- ·Fines of up to €50,000 per financial year for using non-compliant invoicing software.
Regulation as it stands at the date of publication. Always confirm your own situation with your tax adviser.
Why bespoke software is the hard case
Off-the-shelf software updates itself: the vendor ships a version and that is that. Bespoke software has no vendor. Someone has to open the code, understand how invoices are issued today, and change it — and that someone usually left years ago.
Switching products is not a quick way out either. A system that has been running for years does things nobody wrote down: numbering, series, credit notes, one special case for one particular customer. Replacing it means rediscovering all of that against the clock.
How we do it
We start from what your system does today, and prove it, before touching anything.
-
1
1. Audit of the current system
We record how your application actually behaves in use and build a map of what it does, including the invoicing path. This phase is read-only — we change nothing. You get a report with scope, risks and a fixed price for the adaptation.
-
2
2. Verified adaptation
We make the changes Verifactu requires. Every change is checked against the behaviour we recorded beforehand: what had to change does, and what did not stays exactly as it was. Every modification passes human review before delivery.
-
3
3. Delivery with evidence
You get the adapted system and a report showing, point by point, what was checked and with what result. And you keep the safety net: an executable description of what your system does, which you did not have before.
What people usually ask
«Are you going to stop my invoicing?»
No. The current system keeps running while we work, and changes are compared against it before going live. There is no blind cutover.
«What if you disappear, like the last one?»
The code and the checks are yours and stay in your repository. If you want to change supplier tomorrow, you can — and the next one will know what they must not break. We can also place it in escrow with a third party if you prefer.
«What will it really cost?»
The audit is fixed-price and quoted before we start. With its findings in hand, the adaptation is quoted fixed-price too. We do not work on open-ended estimates.
Tell us what you have
Knowing what your system is built with and how it issues invoices today is enough for us to tell you whether this is a small adjustment or a project.
